More About Us
We are often asked why we chose to organize with CWA. The answer is simple, CWA has a well-earned reputation as a strong, democratic, aggressive and fiercely member-driven Union. That's exactly what we as healthcare workers need. A Union that is controlled by us the members, who know our jobs, know our healthcare system, and know what's best for us. We didn't want a Union that spoke FOR us, we wanted to create a Union that IS us!
As part of CWA, we have the staff and resources we need to represent ourselves better and we're part of the Labor community as a whole. As part of CWA, we know we always have the support of hundreds of thousands of members in other industries. Whether it is telephone workers, journalists, flight attendents, manufacturing workers, or researchers, we know we can count on them to support us in our struggles with our employers.
